Participation in Gyan Sabha – National Education Conference

The national education conference “Gyan Sabha” was held in Kalady, the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, on the theme “Education for a Developed India.”
Over 300 senior stakeholders—including vice-chancellors, academicians, and education ministers from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Puducherry—participated.

A key highlight was an address by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, focusing on the Indianisation of education and the implementation of NEP 2020.

The objective was to gain first-hand insights into systemic pain points faced by bureaucrats, vice-chancellors, academicians, and policymakers in implementing NEP 2020.

Outcome

  • The Education Policy & Knowledge Innovation (EP&KI) Practice was formally established within IPEC.
  • Deepak Dwivedi was appointed Practice Head, EP&KI.
  • The IPEC Board issued a mandate to:
    • Identify critical gaps in NEP 2020 implementation
    • Apply Process Excellence and Lean Six Sigma frameworks to address these gaps
    • A comprehensive project report was mandated within six months.
