1) Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you visit our Website, enroll for courses or certifications, register for events/webinars, download brochures, submit enquiries, make payments, or engage our consulting/research services.

2) Legal basis & your rights

We process personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian laws (including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder).

Subject to law, you may request:

  • Access to your personal data
  • Correction/Updation
  • Erasure where no longer required or consent is withdrawn
  • Grievance redressal (see §13)

You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing.

3) What we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, organization, designation, postal address.
  • Education/professional: academic background, work experience, interests (for course placement/certification).
  • Transaction data: order details, invoices, GST information (if applicable), payment method (tokenized), refunds.
  • Usage & technical: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referral URLs.
  • Support & communications: enquiry forms, chat transcripts (if any), emails, feedback, surveys.
  • Event data: webinar attendance, polls, Q&A, certificates issued, CPD/CE hours (where relevant).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data unless you voluntarily provide it for a specific lawful purpose (e.g., accessibility requirements). Please avoid sharing sensitive data unless necessary.

4) Sources

Data is collected directly from you, through cookies/SDKs, via payment gateway(s), email providers, webinar tools, learning platforms/LMS, analytics providers, and—where permitted—public/professional sources (e.g., LinkedIn) for B2B outreach.

5) Purpose of use

  • Provide and improve our Website, courses, certifications, research/consulting, events, and downloadable content
  • User account creation, verification, and credentialing
  • Order processing, payments, receipts, refunds, taxation/GST compliance
  • Issuing certificates, badges, and verifying credentials
  • Customer support and grievance redressal
  • Service announcements, administrative emails, exam reminders
  • Marketing communications about IPEC programs (opt-out anytime)
  • Analytics, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance

6) Lawful basis

Processing is based on consent, performance of a contract, legal obligation, or legitimate interests (e.g., service improvement, security), as applicable.

8) Disclosures & third parties

We may share data with:

  • Service providers / processors: hosting, cloud/LMS, webinar tools, email/SMS vendors, analytics, certification/credentialing platforms, customer support tools, and auditors—strictly on a need-to-know basis under contractual safeguards.
  • Payment gateways & banks: for processing payments, chargebacks, and refunds. Card/bank credentials are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers; we do not store full card details.
  • Affiliates/partners: limited data for co-branded programs/events, only as necessary and with appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal/regulatory authorities: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

We do not sell your personal data.

9) International transfers

Data may be processed outside India by service providers subject to contractual protections and applicable law.

10) Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal, accounting, and audit requirements (e.g., tax/GST records). Certificates and credential records may be retained for verification purposes.

11) Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit where applicable, access controls, least-privilege, logging). No method is 100% secure; you are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords and enable available security features.

12) Children

Our services are intended for individuals 13+. For learners under the age of 18, consent/authorization from a parent/guardian (or institution, as applicable) is required for enrollments.

14) Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Effective date” shows the latest version. Material changes will be notified on the Website and/or via email where feasible.
